The Worcester Review is now open for submissions for Volume 46, now through August 15th, 2026. Published annually by the Worcester County Poetry Association, TWR has been a home for poetry, fiction, and critical work rooted in Central New England’s literary culture since 1972. We welcome work from both new and established writers, and we especially encourage submissions from underrepresented voices. Whether you’re a longtime contributor or discovering us for the first time, we’d love to read your work.
We’re accepting poetry (three to five poems in a single document, seven pages maximum) and fiction (one story up to 3,000 words, or up to three flash pieces totaling 1,200 words). All submissions are handled through Submittable, with a $4 reading fee per submission — and we offer a waived-fee option for BIPOC writers, because we never want cost to be a barrier. Simultaneous submissions are encouraged; just let us know promptly if your work finds a home elsewhere.
The Worcester Review is a print journal, and accepted work also appears on our website and in our online archives. Contributors receive two copies of the issue and a small honorarium. You can find our full guidelines, including our in-house style guide, at theworcesterreview.org/submit. We look forward to reading what you send us.
