The Dodge Poetry Festival, organized by the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and NJPAC, invites poets to perform at their event from October 17-19, 2024. Poets must apply by April 15 and can expect an honorarium, travel expenses, and their books featured at the festival. The festival promotes social justice and will notify applicants by June 30.
Join us on February 7th, 10am, at our annual birthday bash at Elizabeth Bishop’s grave in Hope Cemetery, with local poets reading aloud her sardonic valentines and tender, poignant love poems, mostly unpublished during her lifetime.
Judges have selected Hubbardston, Massachusetts, resident Laura DiCaronimo as the first recipient of the annual Dan Lewis Poetry Fellowship.
WCPA’s annual contest, the Frank O’Hara Prize, opens on January 1st, 2024.
On behalf of the Stanley Kunitz bequest to the Worcester County Poetry Association, the Medal committee is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the 2024 Stanley Kunitz Medal, the tenth to be awarded since 2015.
