Elizabeth Bishop Graveside Reading – February 8, 2022

It was chilly in Hope Cemetery as the Mapping Worcester in Poetry team gathered with members of the WCPA to honor Elizabeth Bishop on what would be her 111th birthday.  The reading made the front page of the February 10, 2022 Telegram.

Our deepest gratitude to all who joined us to share their words, and especially to all of you who braved the snow to join us in the Park View Room.

Over the month of February, we shared poems, forms, and history of local and not-so-local poets as part of Black History Month. We’ve saved a list of the articles we published for future reference on a Black History Month page.
