Richard Fox Poetry Series

The Richard Fox Poetry Series is a monthly poetry open- mic with a featured reader. It honors the memory of the iconic Worcester poet and human-being extraordinaire Richard Fox. This month’s Feature will be Heather Macpherson, a good friend of Richard’s and a remarkable poet herself.

Free admission. On-the-street parking. Root and Press Books and Cafe has an awesome array of food and beverages and an expanded book selection at their new location. Heather J. Macpherson writes poems, essays, and creative nonfiction. Her work has appeared in Sinking City, The Carolina Quarterly, Soundings East, Bennington Review and other fine places. She is the author of the hybrid chapbook, The Blue House on Cone Hill Road & Other (Dog) Habitations, Bottlecap Press, 2024. Forthcoming from Lexington Books later this year is Voicing the Less Dead, co-edited with Francesca Borrione. Heather teaches writing at Clark University.
