Richard Fox Tribute Reading
June 13 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
On March 21, Richard entered hospice after fourteen years of cancer treatment. Fifteen poets will perform their choice of his poems and explain why the selection speaks to them. Richard will read a short set. At the conclusion of the event, the Zoom session will be left open for conversation.
Richard Fox’s poems feature rock ’n roll and youthful transgressions, but his focus is cancer from the patient’s point of view. On March 21, he entered hospice. The author of eight poetry collections and Winner of the 2017 Frank O’Hara Prize, Richard seconds Stanley Kunitz’ motion that people in Worcester are “provoked to poetry.” More at: smallpoetatlarge.com
