Poetry Reading for Children: Why Trees Sneeze
November 14, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
This event is limited to 25. Masks required.
Do your children ask odd questions like “why do rivers shiver?” or “do trees dance?” Curt Curtin answers these and many more in his latest poetry collection called: Why Trees Sneeze and Other Mysteries, “a collection that curious minds are sure to enjoy.” (Worcester librarian, Devon Evans). The reading is targeted to children of all ages, but especially ages 7-11.
In addition publishing two full-length adult collections and three poetry chapbooks, Curtin taught English and Creative Writing at the junior high, high school and college levels for over 25 years, and volunteered to teach poetry classes in two elementary schools. He served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care and a Volunteer Case Reviewer for the Mass. Department of Children and Families for 20 years. Copies of his new book are being donated to local libraries, CASA, and DCF.
