Poetry Reading: Eve Rifkah
April 2, 2025 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Poetry Reading: Eve Rifkah
Boylston Public Library
Join us at the Boylston Library to kick off our three-month series of poetry readings by local poets. We are happy to have Eve Rifkah at the Library to start this series with readings from her book, Outcasts the Penikese Island Leper Hospital 1905-1921. The book is a documentary of sorts with personal poems in the voices of the actual patients. The book was made into a play which was performed at the Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse to rave reviews.

Eve Rifkah is the 2021 recipient of the Stanley Kunitz award and has been instrumental in poetry organizations such as the co-founder of Poetry Oasis, Inc. She has run an ongoing writing workshop for 15 years and teaches workshops and classes at WISE (Worcester Institute for Senior Education). She lives in Worcester, MA with her husband, musician, artist, and writer Michael Milligan, and their cat. Join us for this relaxing evening of poetry reading and leave inspired to hear more these next few months.
Registration Required for Zoom Link.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Boylston Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
