ESP, a.k.a Eric Petersen, Reading at New Dawn followed by Open Mic

The New Dawn Writers’ Group is proud to have ESP in house as our January Featured Author! Come experience ESP reading from his new book, Brutal Rhymes for Brutal Times. The reading and Q&A starts at 6:00 p.m.. Following a meet and greet and book signing at 6:45, we transition into the Open Mic at 7:00 p.m. Bring something to read or cheer on others at the Open Mic.

Poet ESP (AKA Eric Petersen) is a resident of Gardner MA, originally from Ashburnham. His new book of poetry Brutal Rhymes for Brutal Times was released last year. Struggles with depression, substance abuse, parental alienation and divorce—the author has had a lifetime of experiences. Add to that all he has seen in his twenty-five years of human services and you can understand why ESP’s poetry has served as a coping mechanism and passion for him. He is a regular at Open Mics around New England including Pour Me a Poem in Mansfield MA, Slightly Off-Beat Poets in CT, The Openest Mic in Fitchburg MA, and New Dawn Writers Group. His poetry can be found in Silkworm 17 The annual review of the Florence Poetry Society, Many Voices -One Stage, How do you see the world?, anthologies and more. His Novella, Retard, and book, Sociopath: a true story, are available on Kindle. ESP currently is working on a new book of poetry Memos from the milieu. He currently lives with his son, Theodore, and works for OpenSky Community Services.
