Dear Suzanne

A reading of poems from “Dear Suzanne” in 2 voices with slides of her artwork, Paintings with her as a model and photographs. Suzanne Valadon 1865-1938, French artist, favorite model of Renoir and mother of Utrillo. A book in 2 voices. Persona poems in the voice of Valadon talking about her life and letter poems in the author’s voice describing times that run parallel with Valadon’s.

Eve Rifkah was co-founder of Poetry Oasis, Inc. (1998-2012), a non-profit poetry association dedicated to education and promoting local poets. Founder, and editor DINER, a literary magazine. She is the 2021 recipient of the Stanley Kunitz award. She has five published books (not self-published). A play, Outcasts the Lepers of Penikese Island, based on her first book, Outcasts the Penikese Island Leper Hospital, 1905-1921, was performed at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, NY. She lives in Worcester, MA. Eve’s WEBSITE.
