From ancient to modern times, birds have been a source of inspiration to poets. Walk with us along Wachusett Meadow’s ponds, fields, and forests. You’ll stop occasionally to listen as a poem is read, then look for birds and other features of nature similar to those that may have inspired the poet’s words. You may just be inspired yourself, so bring a small notebook and pen to record your experience.
