Presenters:

John Hodgen is visiting assistant professor of English at Assumption College. He is the author of In My Father’s House, winner of the Bluestem Award; Bread Without Sorrow, winner of the Balcones Poetry Prize; Grace, winner of the Donald Hall Prize in Poetry, and Heaven & Earth Holding Company published by the University of Pittsburgh Press. Hodgen is the recipient of numerous other awards, including the Foley Poetry Prize, the Ruth Stone Poetry Prize, the Grolier Prize, an Arvon Foundation Award, and the Chad Walsh Prize in Poetry.

Craig Blais‘s first collection of poems, About Crows (University of Wisconsin Press 2013), was a Walt Whitman Award and National Poetry Series finalist before being selected by Terrance Hayes for the Felix Pollak Prize in Poetry. His second book, Moon News (University of Arkansas Press 2021), was named a finalist for the Miller Williams Prize by former US Poet Laureate Billy Collins. Craig is an associate professor of English at Anna Maria College and serves as chair of the Worcester County Poetry Association’s College Contest, which awards the Elizabeth Bishop Manuscript Prize and the Etheridge Knight Performance Prize annually.

Lori M. Nelson – An alumna of Anna Maria College, Lori is both an artist and a poet, and lives in Leominster, MA. She is the author of Woven Words and Compass Rose, in addition to many publications in various magazines and newspapers, including The Boston Globe. She has been involved in a variety of workshops in Maine and Central Massachusetts and has contributed to a number of group shows in Maine, Massachusetts, and San Francisco, California.

Entertainment presented by:  The Anna Maria College Jazz Ensemble.

Refreshments will be provided.
