A Virtual Thirsty Lab with Muriel Nelson

The Thirsty Lab poetry reading, normally based out of Princeton, MA, continues to meet virtually. Join us on Tuesday August 25th virtually on Zoom with none other than Muriel Nelson, our featured reader!

Muriel Nelson lives near Seattle with her husband and furry muses Barney and Seamus. Her collection Here’s Company won the Idaho Prize for Poetry and was published in April by Lost Horse Press. Her other publications include Sightsinger (Encircle Publications) and Part Song (Bear Star Press, Dorothy Brunsman Poetry Prize), and chapbooks, Please Hold (Encircle Publications, Poetry Chapbook Award) and Most Wanted (ByLine Press, ByLine Chapbook Award). Nominated five times for the Pushcart Prize, Nelson’s poems have appeared in many journals and several anthologies. Two have been set to music. She holds master’s degrees from the University of Illinois School of Music and the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College.
