Celebrating 50 Years of Bringing Poetry to Worcester County – A Panel Discussion

Starting in 1971 with a conversation among friends and a dream to formalize the poetry community in Worcester, Massachusetts, the Worcester County Poetry Association and its dedicated poet- and poetry-loving volunteers has grown to be one of the longest-running non-profit poetry organizations in the United States, publishing The Worcester Review and promoting and supporting readings, festivals, scholarly work, contests, and poetry at large for 50 years.

Join the WCPA for a roundtable panel discussion highlighting some of the highlights, challenges, and successes of a half-century of grass-roots cultural endeavors. Hear from some of the original members, a historian’s perspective, and a look ahead to WCPA’s future.
