Black Byrd is a Poet/Actress. Byrd has performed in plays with 2 community theatre companies such as Oscar Mischeaux Family Theatre Boston and A Common Thread Theatre Framingham where she still holds a membership and is currently in rehearsal with OMFTC for an upcoming series called The Harlem Renaissance Revisited with a Gospel Flavor. Her first poetry album out now called Welcome 2 My Journey is available on ALL PLATFORMS including social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and even threads and X (twitter). 

“I love performing on stage and sharing my story and sharing historical figures stories like Ida B Wells who was a real life Journalist and a writer herself. My goal is to share my story and to help others get through their own trials and tribulations through my own experiences. Oh I am also a mother of 3 and everything I do is for them. I want them to know that their mother is not a failure and that she will always get back up after hitting her rock bottom more than once. Life is what you make it. Keep going!
