In 2019, the Worcester County Poetry Association became the Fiscal Agent to the Worcester branch of The Bard College Clemente Course in the Humanities. an award-winning, college-level seminar for highly motivated low-income adults seeking to improve their lives, their families, and their communities. This collaboration allows both organizations to join forces in promoting the transformative power of the arts and humanities in our community. Several WCPA Board members hold leadership positions in the Worcester Clemente Course in the Humanities: Elizabeth Bacon (Worcester Clemente Course Community Coordinator), Rodger Martin (Worcester Clemente Course Advisory Board), and Therese Carr (Worcester Clemente Course Advisory Board Chair).

Donate to the Clemente Course in the Humanities
Help the Clemente Course thrive and grow for the long term! Communities across the state are asking Mass Humanities to bring the program to their neighborhoods. Join us this year to help underwrite the $60,000 annual cost per site as we strengthen partnerships and build new ones in underserved communities such as Brockton, Dorchester, New Bedford, Worcester, and Springfield. Becoming a monthly donor can help you plan a significant gift to Clemente into your budget.
