The WCPA is governed by a volunteer board of directors and executive officers, who are elected by the membership at our annual public meeting. Membership is open to all individuals and organizations interested in promoting the literary arts.
The WCPA Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the Association offices at Salisbury House, 61 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA. Meetings are open to all members and to the public. We welcome newcomers and encourage you to attend and become involved. Visit our calendar to find the next board meeting.
As part of our Strategic Re-imagining process, the WCPA Board adopted a Board and Committee Member Handbook in April 2022. It outlines the responsibilities and expectations of board and committee members.
Our Bylaws
The Worcester County Poetry Association bylaws are posted as required by our non-profit charter from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The bylaws may be revised at the annual meeting each year. Amendments to our bylaws must be presented to the board at least three weeks before the annual meeting to enable the board to publicize the amendments to the membership.
