We are not kid-friendly though a lot of us don’t act our age.Our Feature Poet on November 18th is the multi-talented Nick Baker from the Worcester Writer’s CollectiveJoin the Fun! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNick Baker is a playwright\, actor\, and director based out of Worcester\, MA. He dreams of plays that revitalize the heavy spirits of working class people\, of plays that bridge differences and show the power of community\, of plays that make us feel like everything is going to be okay\, even when we must confront the darkest parts of our humanity. Nick uses theater to explore accountability through acts of honesty and reconciliation\, and conversely\, how refusing to acknowledge pain\, to change ourselves\, and refusing to fight against the systems we struggle under will destroy us in the end. \n\n\n\nNick is an alum of Company One’s Volt Lab – a cohort of early career theatre artists creating civically-engaged new works to change the Boston theatre ecology through shared values and vocabularies. He is also a facilitator and editor-in-residence for the Worcester Writers’ Collective\, where he helps lead group readings and roundtable conversations of new work by local authors. He is currently developing new work and in the process of creating a theater company: Bullhorn Theatre. \n\n\n\n\n\nJoe Fusco\, Jr.
