SUMMARY:Arts In The Garden
DESCRIPTION:Indian Lake Community Association presents Arts in The Garden “an outdoor event that features music and poetry at the Community Teaching Garden on West Boylston Drive in Worcester. Performances will be every other Thursday starting July 7th from 6:30-8:00pm. Rain dates are the following day (Friday). \nOn June 29th we will be featuring musicians Chuck and Mud\, and poet Karen Sharpe. Admission is FREE and patrons are encouraged to bring non-alcoholic beverages and snacks to this family friendly event. Join us for an awesome time at Arts in The Garden! \n  \n  \n  \nChuck and Mud  have been playing all over Worcester County for the past 40 years\, and for every occasion that you can imagine. From the slopes of Mt. Wachusett to the Blackstone Heritage State Park\, from the Brookfield Apple Festival to the Hanover Theatre for the Arts — and now at the delightful Garden for the Arts! Mud sings beautifully\, and she is an excellent guitarist. Chuck loves to harmonize and plays a 12-string guitar and banjo. This performance is intended to be a family show with\, hopefully\, a little bit of music for everyone. There will be some original songs\, some classic folk tunes\, some old rock and roll\, some kid’s tunes\, and more. Their genre has always been Americana! \n\n\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n\n \nKaren Elizabeth Sharpe is a poetry editor at The Worcester Review. Her chapbook\, Prayer Can Be Anything is forthcoming in the summer of 2023 (Finishing Line Press). Her poems have or will soon appear in Split Rock Review\, Ocean State Review\, West Trade Review\, Mom Egg Review\, and Catalyst\, among others. She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. Karen has been a member of Marge Piercy’s juried poets group and a member of the PoemWorks community in the greater Boston area. \n\n
